What Is Hospice Care?

Hospice care is specialized support for patients with terminal illnesses who are no longer seeking curative treatment. It focuses on managing pain and symptoms, addressing emotional and spiritual needs, and helping both patients and families prepare for the final stage of life.

When to Consider Hospice

Hospice may be appropriate when:

  • A life-limiting illness has progressed despite treatment
  • Curative care is no longer effective or desired
  • The patient has a life expectancy of 6 months or less, as determined by a physician
  • The goal of care shifts toward comfort and quality of life rather than prolonging life at all costs

Services Offered
